Children Living Away from Home

Level 2

Training at this level will elaborate on safeguarding and child protection topics e.g. the impact of abuse, how to identify it,  how to advocate for a child and when to refer to social care. Information provided will be drawn from lessons in research,  legislation and discussion will include a multi-disciplinary approach.

This is for staff who have regular contact with children and families within the community; they may be a lead professional  in cases of early help and responsibility. These roles may include schools, health professionals and children’s centres.
