Courses are free for attendees, however failure to attend once a place has been booked will incur a charge of £50 for half day course, £100 for full day course billed separately after the event. Cancellations must be received 48 hours prior to training session via email only to :

Aim: To ensure participants have an appreciation and understanding of Mental illness in the Perinatal Period, including issues related to detection, treatment, support, and risk.

Objectives: Participants will develop and understanding of what the term perinatal mental illness means and its recognition

You will be informed of local treatment pathways

You will have an understanding of the national view

You will develop an understanding of the nature of risk and its management in the perinatal period

You will develop an understanding of the impact of perinatal mental illness on the infant and family

You will be able to consider the impact of stigma and culture on perinatal mental illness.
