*cancelled* ar Domestic Abuse: Level 3

This workshop will give an overview of why we risk assess victims of domestic violence and abuse (DVA), the  history, purpose and use of the Domestic Abuse Stalking Harassment and Honour Based Violence (DASH) risk identification  checklist (RIC). Attendees will consider how to respond to disclosure of domestic abuse with empathy and understanding  and the role of professionals in intervening safely. The session will also consider how to assess someone’s immediate safety,  build a coherent safety plan and referral to, and continued liaison with, specialist services.
