Working with Children and Young People who display sexually harmful behaviour

This course will raise awareness of the continuum of sexual behaviours’ displayed by children and young people and
explore appropriate responses. It will give participants an opportunity to develop their understanding and knowledge
to identify when children and young people’s behaviours move beyond what could be considered ‘normal’ and become potentially sexually harmful or pose a risk to others.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course the learners should be able to:

  • Identify the continuum of sexual behaviours’ displayed by children and young people in line with their development
  • Describe what is problematic sexualised behaviour
  • Describe what is harmful sexualised behaviour

Non-attendance Policy

Please note that there is a non-attendance policy currently in place. There will be a charge of £100.00 (£50.00 for half day courses) for non-attendance if cancellation does not occur 5 working days before the event or replaced by another representative from your agency. All charges recuperated will be directed back into the training budget. If you are employed outside of the London Borough of Newham, please provide the name and contact details for your finance team.
