Courses are free for attendees, however failure to attend once a place has been booked will incur a charge of £50 for half day course, £100 for full day course billed separately after the event. Cancellations must be received 48 hours prior to training session via email only to :

Safeguarding training for semi independent providers and Newham Children’s Homes – Training Day 1 – By Invitation Only

The Training will focus on:

  • Safer Organisations including safer recruitment and managing safeguarding investigations
  • LADO and new Regulation 7 requirements LADO and new Regulation 7 requirements
  • Missing Children- maximising the effectiveness of the risk management tool
  • Radicalisation and how we can work together to safeguard our young people

The same training will be delivered on two different days and we do hope providers will be able to attend one of these dates.

Non-attendance Policy

Please note that there is a non-attendance policy currently in place. There will be a charge of £100.00 (£50.00 for half day courses) for non-attendance if cancellation does not occur 5 working days before the event or replaced by another representative from your agency. All charges recuperated will be directed back into the training budget. If you are employed outside of the London Borough of Newham, please provide the name and contact details for your finance team.
