Child Sexual Exploitation Champion

Champions are social workers who act as a point of contact and information in relation to CSE within their teams.

Attend this two-day course and be trained to take on this role. (16th and 17th July)

Understand current research around CS-E and how vulnerability is constructed

Explore the impact of trauma on memory and the formation of trauma bonds

Identify relevant legislation/policing strategies to disrupt/prosecute perpetrators

Link CS-E to other forms of abuse, exploitation, trafficking and criminalisation

Acknowledge intersecting identities when engaging with and supporting victims

Rehearse assessing risks without assuming victims are female/white/heterosexual

Non-attendance Policy

Please note that there is a non-attendance policy currently in place. There will be a charge of £100.00 (£50.00 for half day courses) for non-attendance if cancellation does not occur 5 working days before the event or replaced by another representative from your agency. All charges recuperated will be directed back into the training budget. If you are employed outside of the London Borough of Newham, please provide the name and contact details for your finance team.
